Someone at NPR this week had a great idea: create a Tumblr page where people could post photos of foodstuffs in the back of their kitchen cupboards that had been there for ages. In return, other users could comment on the foods, giving the original posters ideas on how to cook them! I thought this was fascinating, so I added my own photo.
I've had some great feedback as to what I should do with my tamarind sauce etc. What tins or packages of things have you got way back there in the recesses of the kitchen shelves, that you're too intimidated to cook or too sentimental to throw out?
Time for a food spring clean!
